In an interview with NBC5, US Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson expresses her happiness to be the guest of honor for the Muslim Women’s Open House and True Islam presentation, organized by Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association in Allen. She explains how she appreciates the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for all the good work being done. She remembers how the members of the community reached out when tornadoes hit areas of North Texas. “They were some of the first people who contacted me” she continues “They brought two truckloads of underwear and jackets and socks and food, and contributed $1,500 that they got just in a matter of days.”
