He shared that his father is Palestinian and his mother is Iranian. Although he is a Muslim, he mentioned that he has never felt the need to ask about the differences between Sunni and Shia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mayor appreciated the meeting and expressed interest in collaborating on a tree-planting project in Richardson. His vision is to bring together people from different faith communities to work side by side for the benefit of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also expressed interest in participating in activities at our mosque, and we should invite him to one of our upcoming events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also requested a future meeting to formally present him with our book and flyers package in the presence of the City Manager.
