Meeting with Richardson Mayor Amir Omar

We had a meeting with Richardson Mayor Amir Omar. He shared that his father is Palestinian and his mother is Iranian. Although he is a Muslim, he mentioned that he has never felt the need to ask about the differences between Sunni and Shia.

The Mayor appreciated the meeting and expressed interest in collaborating on a tree-planting project in Richardson. His vision is to bring together people from different faith communities to work side by side for the benefit of the city.

He also expressed interest in participating in activities at our mosque, and we should invite him to one of our upcoming events.

I also requested a future meeting to formally present him with our book and flyers package in the presence of the City Manager. In addition, I requested a separate meeting with the Police Chief to further strengthen our relationship.

Faith and Unity: Dallas Jama’at Gathers for Inspiring Address by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Dallas gathered in beautiful harmony at the Baitul Ikram Mosque in Allen, Texas. Over 60 members came together to watch a deeply inspiring address delivered by our beloved Holy Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah be his Helper). The atmosphere inside the mosque was filled with gratitude and reflection as members listened intently to the incredible progress, landmark successes, and spiritual prosperity achieved by the Jama’at over the past year. Gatherings like these reinforce our shared bond of brotherhood and sisterhood, leaving everyone energized and deeply motivated to continue serving Islam Ahmadiyya with renewed dedication in the year ahead.

 

Meeting with Mayor Bill Cox of McKinney

This meeting took place just a few days after Congressman Keith Self spoke about Sharia law in McKinney, making it a timely opportunity to introduce our Jama’at and clarify our beliefs and values.

Mayor Cox expressed his appreciation for our community’s humanitarian and outreach activities. He emphasized that it is important for us to introduce ourselves to the wider community, explain who we are, and distinguish our beliefs and practices from misconceptions about other Muslim groups.

The Mayor also kindly offered to help arrange future meetings with the Police Chief, the Mayor Pro Tem, and the City Manager to further strengthen our relationship with the City of McKinney.

During the meeting, we presented Mayor Cox with a copy of World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace. At his request, we also provided additional copies for the Police Chief and the Mayor Pro Tem, which he will personally deliver.

Mayor Cox expressed his interest in attending our upcoming events at the mosque, including our next Blood Drive.

Meet with Collin County Judge Chris Hill

It was an honor to meet with Collin County Judge Chris Hill. We had the opportunity to present the various initiatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community that serve and support the people of Collin County.

We also shared the true understanding of Sharia in Islam: its primary purpose is to strengthen the relationship between humanity and God while promoting justice, compassion, and peace. We explained that the Holy Qur’an and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) teach Muslims to obey the laws of the country in which they live, to be loyal citizens, and to contribute positively to their communities.

We thank Judge Hill for his time, hospitality, and the meaningful discussion. We look forward to continuing to build bridges of understanding and working together for the betterment of our community.

Blood Drive on Saturday, July 11, 2026

We will be holding our annual Blood Drive, in partnership with the American Red Cross, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10AM to 4PM at Baitul Ikram Mosque.
In the light of the below mentioned Quarnic injunction, it was decided to make the best of this opportunity.

The Quranic injunction is “saving one life is likened to saving all of humanity”[5-33] One unit of blood can help save up to 3 lives.

I very humbly request all jamaat members to participate wholeheartedly in this “Sadqae Jarriya”.
We have separate space allocated for Lajna members and would especially love to see more youth participation.
