Let us build mutual love and not hatred

As with the rest of the community in Dallas, we are all shocked to know of the brutal and despicable attack on our Police officers yesterday. The attack was timed with a peaceful demonstration related to the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile , but had nothing to do with the demonstration otherwise.

Along with the area residents, we do condemn this heinous act of terrorism and request all of us to come together and build on our mutual love and relationship between various communities in this area. We pray for the fallen souls who have always fought to save our cities from harm and lost their lives in line of duty.

We echo our President’s statement “As a nation, let’s remember to express our profound gratitude to our men and women in blue, not just today but every day,”

In his letter to Chief of Dallas Police, Mr. Suhail Kausar, President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Dallas, expressed his grief and shock and praised the work of the police department. He said “Our hearts and prayers are with the families of the deceased officers that may God bless them with patience to endure this irreparable loss”

We also pray that this incident, instead of being a cause of division, become a turning point in the racial relations in our great nation. Let this bring us all together.
